I was born with a rare genetic condition called Marfan Syndrome. It affects my connective tissue and can have life threatening cardiac consequences. It can also cause a myriad of other issues and it seems I’ve been the lucky recipient of many of those.
In 2018 my life changed drastically within a matter of a few minutes. Since then I have been navigating a brand new way of life. I have been home on disability from that day and have been learning how to navigate being a woman with disabilities. I write often about my health issues, mostly as a way to process this journey.
